Protecting Hotel Contract: Parents are not to wait in the fitness room during lessons, use any fitness equipment, or move any pool furniture around (especially into the fitness room!). Parents who are not the one parent on the pool deck must leave the premises and return at the end of the lesson. Any parents coming on to the pool deck must remove their shoes. All coaches must ensure they are executing the proper procedures as the GM is watching on the cameras. 

Pick up/drop off policy at the White Rock school:

1. Say hi to the front desk (introduce yourself and say you’re from Swim Fins)

2. Go past the front desk and turn left

3. Take your first right

4. Immediately on your right-hand side you will see the elevator and on your left-hand side, you will see the stairs. Both will take you to the basement where the pool is located.

5. Once in the basement, you will see doors on your left (if coming down the elevator) or on your right (if coming down the stairs).

6. Come in and turn right to get to the girls’ or boys’ change room.

7. Students at this location can use the change room before and after their lesson.

Pick up/drop off policy at the Clov-West school:

1. Introduce yourself to the front desk and say you work for Swim Fins and that you’d like the master swipe card (see picture below) . DO NOT lose this swipe card. If you cannot find it to return it to the front desk at the end of your shift for any reason, call Clo as this is considered an emergency. 

2. Parents will park at the back of the building. Parents should never enter the hotel via the front entrance, walk through the hotel (even if they are trying to go to the restaurant), or sit in the lobby. If they wish to dine at the restaurant, they must walk around the outside of the hotel.

3. Parents and kids will line up OUTSIDE the building at the locked back door that leads to the lobby and pool.

4. At lesson time, you will open the door and let the kids in, who should already be dressed in bathing suits. If they are not, parents are welcome to use the changerooms; however, this will use up their lesson time. Do not wait to start your lesson until they are ready, get started right away.

5. Chairs on the pool deck: Make sure they remain by the window, NOT in front of the wall, as the chairs keep banging up against the wall and damaging both the wall and the chairs. The GM has asked that if we see the chairs have been moved, to please put them back in front of the window.

6. At the end of the lesson, bring your kids back to the door that you picked the kids up from to give feedback to their parents. Parents may come inside and use the changerooms, and they must exit the hotel from the back door where they normally line up - do not let them walk through the hotel to exit out the front entrance.

7. See picture below to see which door the parents will be waiting at and where they will be lining up.

8. You’ll also need to sign out (at the beginning of your shift) and sign in (at the end of your shift) a swipe card (see picture below) from the front desk.

9. Make sure you bring the swipe card with you when you pick up/drop off your students as the pool door needs to remain locked for safety reasons.

Protecting Hotel Contract:  This hotel is very strict about the procedures. All coaches must ensure they are executing the proper procedures at this location as our hotel contract is compromised and the hotel staff are watching on the cameras. 

Important: CE: Parents are NOT permitted to enter the Hotel (at all), as this compromises our hotel contract. Remember that the hotel contract is #1 priority over clients. 1. Introduce yourself to the front desk and say you work for Swim Fins and sign into the binder.

2. Parents will park at the back of the building.

3. Parents and kids will line up OUTSIDE the building (in bathing suits) at the locked back door that leads to the lobby and pool. 

4. At lesson time, you will open the door and let the kids in, who should already be dressed in bathing suits.

5. At the end of the lesson, bring your kids back to the door that you picked the kids up from to give feedback to their parents. Wrap and Go is still in effect.

6. You’ll also need to sign out in the binder at the front desk (at the end of your shift).

Changerooms: YES, families can use the changerooms

Protecting Hotel Contract:  The hotel provides the metal locking mechanism on the steam room door. DO NOT close or slam the door on the metal part that goes over the hook or it will bend, and you will be unable to lock the steam room at the end of your shift. This causes issues for us, and it's unfair to the hotel maintenance team to have to bend it back when we are causing this issue.

Pick up/drop off policy at the Walnut Grove school:

1. Be super polite to the front desk and say you work for Swim Fins (formerly known as Swim Clo) and sign out swipe card. 

2. Take the stairs down to the bottom level, use your swipe card to enter the pool area. 

3. The students will meet you right outside the pool room doors. All equipment is in the steam room (your bin key will work). 

4. Students at this location can use the change rooms after the lesson but should come dressed in bathing suit as pool doors are permanently locked.

Pick up/drop off policy:

1. Introduce yourself to the front desk and ask for the key to the pool. If you drive to the hotel and park in the parking lot in front of the hotel, give the front desk your license plate number so they can validate your parking (there is no need to pay for parking). 

2. Tell the front desk that Paul (the GM) said it would be ok to give the front desk your license plate number so you don’t have to pay for parking. If there’s a problem, reach out to Clo and she can help you.

3. Take the elevator to the mezzanine level (M) and to the left you’ll find the pool doors. 

4. Go thru the pool doors and continue through the gym, go down the stairs, and then you’ll be in the pool area. 

5. Parents will park at the back of the building.

6. Parents and kids will line up OUTSIDE the building at the locked back door that leads to the pool (they may not walk through the hotel to get to the pool area)

7. At lesson time, you will open the door and let the kids in. Ideally kids are already be dressed in bathing suits. If they are not, they are allowed to use the changerooms to get ready for the lesson. If they choose to do this, start your lesson as normal without them, they will join you when they're ready.

a. They may also use a lobby bathroom to change before the lesson, but they must walk around outside the hotel and meet you at the back door for pick up as normal. No families should travel through the hotel to get to the pool area.

8. At the end of the lesson, bring your kids back to the door that you picked the kids up from to give feedback to their parents. Parents may then come in and use the changerooms to get their kids ready to leave.

a. If they choose to use the changerooms, all parents and children must walk across the pool deck barefoot, or bring a pair of inside shoes that have never been worn outside before.

9. See picture below to see which door the parents will be waiting at and where they will be lining up.

10. You’ll also need to sign out (at the beginning of your shift) and sign in (at the end of your shift) a swipe card from the front desk.

11. Make sure you bring the swipe card with you when you pick up/drop off your students as the pool door needs to remain locked for safety reasons.

Pick up/drop off policy at the Abbotsford school:

1. Say hi to the front desk (introduce yourself and say you’re from Swim Fins)

2. Come through the main doors, keep going straight, and the elevator is on your left.

3. Take the elevator to level 2 that says “Pool”.

4. Follow “Pool” sign. You will see the entrance to the pool.

5. Students at this location can use the change rooms after the lesson but should come dressed in bathing suit as pool doors are permanently locked.
