Please set multiple alarms/reminders to ensure that you don’t oversleep for a shift.
Always plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early to account for unexpected traffic or delays.
If you are running late for your shift for any reason:
Log in to your Coach Portal, open your first class' "Attendance" menu, click on "Details" for each student, and text all the parents of your first class (make sure you include both primary contacts). Text them separately, not in a group text, as you do not want to share their personal information (phone numbers) among parents for privacy reasons. See a picture of what this looks like below.
Text BOTH Clo’s personal line and the office line together in a group text to keep the office informed.
You can text both of these numbers (Clo & the office) any time of the day or night.
If you know another coach teaches right after you (i.e. you work until 1:00pm, and the next coach teaches at 1:00pm), you have not seen them arrive yet, and their students are waiting:
Call Clo’s personal line and let her know that the coach isn’t there yet. She will advise you.
Become a temporary sub: Welcome the other coach’s kids into the pool area and get started on the lesson as you would if you were subbing.
The normal coach will usually arrive within a few minutes, as most often they are just stuck in traffic, at which point you can pass the lesson off and go home.
🙏Thank you for being a team player in these situations!
