Subbing on the First Day/Week of Program

If you are subbing during the first week of program (or on the first day of program in the summer), please read the following important information:

NOTE: We only get kids out 5min early to drip dry at Clov-EAST. 

SWIM FINS PROGRAM

We’ve had a lot of changes recently, and if you haven’t taught since July 11, 2025, we need to get you up to speed. Before you sub, please read and understand our new Swim Fins Program and curriculum.

If you have not taught since July 11, 2025, which means you have not taught the Swim Fins Program yet, you must fill out this quiz by midnight tonight before you sub.

⚠️CLOVERDALE EAST

If you are subbing at Cloverdale East for this coach:

1. Parents are NOT permitted to enter the Hotel (at all), as this compromises our hotel contract.

2. Remember that the hotel contract is #1 priority over clients.

3. Any questions please ask.

4. Please answer the Clarifying Questions in this google form now and text us in a GROUP TEXT with Clo & this number when you’ve completed it.

FIRST DAY/WEEK PROCEDURE

1. Please read through the current session's Day 1/Week 1 Weekly Summary (found on the Coach Resources Website) to refresh yourself on what to do if a kid not on the schedule shows up to class.

2. Do not do first day procedures 

3. PLEASE DO

   • Start a binder for the coach you're covering for

   • Collect info pages and put them in the proper plastic sheet protectors in the binder

   • Tell the parents what time the class ends.

   • Introduce yourself to the kids and parents as the sub for the day and tell them their normal coach will be there next week.

MERCHANDISE

1. Check the Merchandise Tracker tab for the coach you're covering for (scroll to find the tab with their name if needed). 

2. Please add your initial next to each item so we know you handed it out. 

3. If the merchandise is not listed in the Sheet, do not give the parent anything and tell them to email the admin office. 

4. Please do this by midnight of the day you sub.
